Murri Kin Aboriginal Corporation is an Indigenous-led organization established in 2025, dedicated to serving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Queensland. Based in Thabeban, we provide culturally responsive support services that honor traditional knowledge while addressing contemporary challenges.

As a registered Indigenous corporation under the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC), we are committed to the highest standards of governance, transparency, and community accountability. Our work is guided by the voices and needs of the communities we serve.

Who We Serve

Murri Kin Aboriginal Corporation provides comprehensive support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across all life stages and circumstances:

  • Children & Families: Early childhood services, family support, and programs that strengthen kinship connections
  • Young People: Youth engagement, education support, and pathways to employment and training
  • Adults: Employment services, housing support, life skills programs, and crisis assistance
  • Elders: Support services that honor and care for our Elders, keepers of cultural knowledge
  • Diverse Communities: Culturally appropriate services for LGBTQIA+ community members, people from diverse linguistic backgrounds, and people with diverse abilities
  • Rural & Remote Areas: Outreach services to regional and remote Queensland communities
  • People Facing Hardship: Support for those experiencing homelessness, financial disadvantage, unemployment, or recovering from trauma and family violence

Our Approach

Our programs are built on principles of cultural safety, community partnership, and evidence-informed practice. We work collaboratively with community members, Elders, other Indigenous organizations, government agencies, and service providers to ensure comprehensive, coordinated support.

We recognize that every individual and community is unique. Our services are flexible and responsive, adapted to meet specific needs while maintaining cultural integrity and respect for traditional practices.

Governance & Accountability

As an Indigenous corporation registered with ORIC, we maintain rigorous governance standards and report annually on our activities and finances. Our board comprises community members committed to ethical leadership and community benefit.
